Breast Cancer Research Benefit Auction

Last October when I first had my vision to take on this project I was fresh off the 3 Day Breast Cancer walk and the experience I had during those 3 grueling days of walking a total of 60 miles among thousands of participants got my creative mind astir. I was touched by the stories of heartache and triumph, pain and loss as well as hope and survival. I wanted to do more than just walk again this year. It came to me that it would be so fitting to create paintings that celebrated whole, beautiful and healthy bodies, flush with the life and vitality that we are intended to have. In my conversations with survivors they tell me that one of the greatest tools they used was to visualize themselves as such... 

These are the goals I have in mind when I draw in the composition, swipe color across the canvas and bring to life the female nudes I have visualized. Titling them after rock and roll songs inspires  me even more and gives each painting a ‘story’ to be revealed.  50% of the proceeds will go directly to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment. I am very excited and totally focused on making this a fun, successful and creative event!
